This module develops early information-gathering skills. Pets, wild and farm animals are presented through an alphabetic index and a search facility. Pupils can select one of three ways to find information for further investigation: Choose an animal group; Use the alphabetic index; Type words into the Search Box. Facts pages, with supporting text and pictures, are provided for all the animals included. The First Reference Book can be used to encourage different approaches to finding information and develop research skills.
