The course comprises two CD-ROMs: Talk Now and Vocab Builder, produced by the language experts Eurotalk, and a high quality A4 book containing lesson plans, pronunciation guide, photocopiable worksheets, flashcards and masses of games written by Sherston.

The main emphasis of Chatterbox is on learning French vocabulary through listening and speaking. A recording facility on both CD-ROMs gives children the opportunity to practise pronunciation of French words and play it back to themselves. Children will also become familiar with reading and writing French words through the text that accompanies visual clues throughout the course.
