Designed to help teachers overcome some of the organisational and technological difficulties, as well as safety issues, associated with using 'real' email, this resource introduces pupils to electronic mail, using an innovative and extremely realistic simulated environment.
It contains ten interactive tutorials covering all key email skills, including sending and receiving messages, using an email address book, and sending carbon copies. Text is fully narrated, and the carefully designed interface ensures that skills learned can be easily transferred to a real email application. Pupils also take part in an exciting adventure, in which their task is to solve the mystery of Webble Valley where a series of dangerous gas explosions has been threatening the normally peaceful community.
Key content: • Teacher Options with simple record keeping • User Guide including suggestions for follow-up work. • Fully narrated • Supports the QCA Scheme of Work for ICT • Can be used in Tutorial or Adventure modes
