Kar2ouche helps students develop contextual understanding, critical interpretation and individual expression through creative activities including interactive role-play, picture making, storyboarding, animation, publishing and movie-making. Starting French 1 introduces Gilbert and his alien family visiting Earth to learn about different cultures and languages. Complementing the QCA scheme of work, units 1-6, pupils engage with Gilbert, his friends and family. They learn to meet and greet others, count to 60, do simple maths in French, refer to times of the day, week and year, as well as talk about school, where they live, and what they do. Starting French 1 and 2 can also serve as a foundation for students embarking on their first French course at KS3. Education support pack with lesson plans, activities and worksheets is supplied free with the Network Site Licence.
