This is the fifth in the highly successful and award winning All About series and has been designed to provide teachers with a different range of activities to support pupils in their work on the Materials section of the Science curriculum. It is a visually stimulating and extremely motivating title that introduces pupils to a variety of new skills through it's interactive activities including matching words and pictures, videos showing heating and cooling experiments, a simple simulation of the properties of magnets and testing knowledge of the properties of materials. A simple notepad facility with related talking word banks has been integrated into the software to enable users to quickly communicate their ideas in words and pictures. All About Materials also has the facility for all text on screen to be read aloud if clicked, making the program suitable for early non-readers.
